Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using SportTapper, including the mobile application ("App") and related web services (such as the web dashboard), operated by Burntsky IO ("we," "us," or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by accessing our web services where available, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use SportTapper.

2. Description of Service

SportTapper is offered through a mobile application and optional web experiences that allow parents and coaches to:

Track youth sports statistics in real-time
Manage player rosters and profiles
Record match results and player performance
Organize seasons and teams
Optionally sync data to the cloud and access it on the web when subscribed

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use SportTapper. The App is designed for parents and coaches to manage youth sports data, not for use by children.

By using the App, you represent that:

You are at least 18 years old
You are a parent, guardian, or coach of the players whose data you enter
You have the authority to enter and manage the player information

4. User Accounts and Data

4.1 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

The accuracy of information you enter
Maintaining the security of your device and any cloud account credentials
All activity that occurs through your use of the App
Obtaining appropriate consent before entering another person's information

4.2 Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into SportTapper, including player information, match statistics, and photos. We do not claim any ownership rights to your content.

4.3 Data Storage

Local: Your data is stored on your device by default. You are responsible for backing up your data (e.g. optional cloud sync when subscribed, or Export when your plan includes it).
Cloud (optional): If you sign in with a cloud account, we may store a copy of your data on our systems to provide sync and web access, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Subscription Tiers

SportTapper offers the following subscription options (limits match the product; prices are shown in the App and stores and may vary by region or promotion):

Free Tier: Limited to 2 players and 5 games per player. No data export, cloud backup, or web access.
Family: $1.99/month — Up to 10 players, unlimited games per player, cloud backup, web access, and analytics.
Coach: $7.99/month — Up to 30 players, unlimited games per player, and all Family features plus team management and sharing.
Organization: Custom pricing; contact us via the in-app link for organization plans.

5.2 Billing

iOS: Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Android: Purchases are processed through Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase.
Prices are displayed in your local currency in the App and in the respective store.

5.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
The renewal price will be the same as your original subscription price unless we notify you of a price change.

5.4 Cancellation

On iPhone (iOS):

Open Settings
Tap your Apple ID at the top
Tap Subscriptions
Select SportTapper
Tap Cancel Subscription

On Android:

Open the Google Play Store
Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Select SportTapper
Tap Cancel subscription

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until then.

5.5 Refunds

iOS: Refund requests must be made through Apple. We cannot process refunds directly. Visit Apple billing support to request a refund.
Android: Refund requests must be made through Google Play. We cannot process refunds directly. Use the order history in Google Play or Google Play Help to request a refund.

5.6 Free Trials

If a free trial is offered:

You will not be charged during the trial period
Your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless canceled
The subscription price will be clearly displayed before the trial begins

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for any illegal purpose
Enter false or misleading information
Enter information about individuals without appropriate consent
Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the App
Use the App to harm, harass, or exploit others
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

SportTapper, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by Burntsky IO and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

7.2 Your Rights

You retain all rights to the content you create and enter into the App.

8. Privacy

Your use of SportTapper is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, including optional cloud storage and account deletion. By using the App, you consent to our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 "As Is" Service

SportTapper is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

Merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy or reliability

9.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that:

The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
Defects will be corrected
The App will meet your specific requirements

9.3 Data Loss

We are not responsible for any loss of data. You are responsible for backing up your data regularly (e.g. using cloud sync when subscribed, or Export when your plan includes it).

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (including subscriptions) in the 12 months preceding the claim
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Burntsky IO from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you enter into the App

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may stop using SportTapper at any time by deleting the App from your device. If you have a cloud account, you may also delete your account and cloud data as described in the Privacy Policy.

13.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App or cloud services at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe:

Violates these Terms
Is harmful to other users or us
Is illegal

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SportTapper shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if eligible.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Burntsky IO regarding SportTapper.
