Burntsky IO ("we," "us," or "our") operates the SportTapper mobile application (the "App") and related web services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Coach/Parent Profile Information:
- Name (optional)
- Email address (optional, for support; required if you create a cloud account)
- Country/region selection
- Role (parent or coach)
Player Information:
- Player names
- Player photos (stored on your device; if you use cloud sync, backup copies may be stored in our cloud)
- Jersey numbers
- Playing positions
Match and Statistics Data:
- Game dates and times
- Match scores
- Player performance statistics (goals, assists, shots, etc.)
- Season and team information
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device Information:
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- App version
- Anonymous device identifier
Usage Information:
- Features used within the App
- Session duration
- Crash reports and error logs
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Precise geolocation data
- Contact lists
- Browsing history
- Financial information (payments processed by Apple or Google)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide App Functionality: Store and display your player rosters, match statistics, and season records (locally and, if you choose, in the cloud)
- Improve the App: Analyze anonymous usage patterns to enhance features and fix bugs
- Provide Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and troubleshoot issues
- Process Subscriptions: Manage your subscription status through Apple's or Google's payment system and RevenueCat
- Cloud Sync (optional): If you sign in with a cloud account, sync your data so you can access it from the web or other devices and back it up on our servers
- Send Important Updates: Notify you of significant App changes (with your consent)
3. Data Storage
3.1 Local Storage
All player data, match statistics, photos, and preferences are stored on your device by default. You can use the App fully without ever creating a cloud account.
3.2 Optional Cloud Storage
If you sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, you may optionally use our cloud features. In that case:
- We use Supabase (a secure cloud platform) to store: your account identifier, profile information, player records, match archives, and related data you choose to sync.
- Data is synced to the cloud only when you are signed in and when you use features that store data in the cloud (e.g. backup, web dashboard).
- Cloud data is held in the United States (Supabase). We do not sell or share this data with third parties for their own marketing or advertising.
3.3 Subscription and Payments
Your subscription status is managed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment details; Apple and Google process payments.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
4.1 RevenueCat
- Purpose: Subscription and purchase management
- Data Shared: Anonymous user ID, purchase history

- Purpose: Crash reporting and error tracking
- Data Shared: Anonymous device info, crash logs, error messages

4.3 Supabase (cloud only)
- Purpose: Optional cloud storage and authentication when you sign in
- Data Shared: Account identifier, profile and app data you sync (players, matches, etc.)

4.4 Apple App Store (iOS)
- Purpose: App distribution and payment processing
- Data Shared: Purchase transactions (handled by Apple)

- Purpose: App distribution and payment processing
- Data Shared: Purchase transactions (handled by Google)

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
SportTapper is designed for parents and coaches to track youth sports statistics. The App is NOT intended for use by children under 13.
5.1 How We Handle Children's Data
- Player information (names, photos, statistics) is entered by parents or coaches, not by children directly
- We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children
- We do not use children's data for advertising or marketing purposes
- We do not share children's data with third parties for their own purposes
- When cloud is used, children's data may be stored in our cloud at the direction of the parent or coach
5.2 Parental Rights
As a parent or coach using SportTapper, you have full control over the player data you enter:
- You can view all stored player information at any time
- You can edit or delete any player profile
- You can export your data when your subscription includes export (see Section 8.1)
- You can remove all local data and, if you use a cloud account, your account and cloud data, using the deletion flow in Settings (see Section 8.2)
5.3 Verification
During onboarding, users confirm they are a parent or coach (adult) managing youth sports data. We do not allow children to create accounts or use the App independently.
6. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
We may share anonymous, aggregated data that cannot identify you for:
- Analytics and App improvement
- Research purposes
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:
- Local data is stored using secure device storage
- Cloud data is stored with Supabase using industry-standard security and encryption
- Subscription data is protected by Apple's or Google's security infrastructure
- We do not use your data for behavioral advertising
8. Your Rights and Choices
8.1 Access and Export
When your subscription includes export (paid Family or Coach tiers), you can export your data using the Export feature in Settings.
8.2 Deletion
The App provides a single deletion flow in Settings, labeled Delete Account & Data (labels may vary slightly by app version or language). When you start that flow and confirm, the following applies:
- If you are signed in to a cloud account: We delete your cloud account and synced data from our systems, sign you out, then remove all local players, matches, seasons, photos, and preferences from your device.
- If you are not signed in to a cloud account: We remove all local players, matches, seasons, photos, and preferences from your device.
Deleting your data through this flow does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription; use your device’s subscription settings (see §8.3) to avoid further charges.
You may also request account and cloud data deletion by emailing support@sporttapper.com with the subject "Account deletion request." We will process the request in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
8.3 Subscription Management
To manage or cancel your subscription, use your device’s subscription settings:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → SportTapper
- Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions → SportTapper (or Settings → Google → Payments & subscriptions)
9. International Users
9.1 GDPR (European Users)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights:
- Right to access your data
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing

9.2 Data Location
- Data on your device stays on your device.
- If you use cloud features, that data is processed and stored by Supabase (United States).
- Third-party services (RevenueCat, Sentry) may process data in the United States.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

You can use the App with all data only on your device, or optionally sign in for cloud backup and web access. We don't sell your information. You can remove all data through Settings (Delete Account & Data), which covers local data and, when signed in, your cloud account and synced data.
